Founded in 1962 in accordance with the wishes of Ugo and Olga Levi, the Foundation is entirely dedicated to all aspects of music,
ranging from ancient to contemporary, organology and ethnomusicology. Located in Palazzo Giustinian Lolin, built by Baldassare Longhena
overlooking the Grand Canal of Venice facing the Gallerie dell’Accademia, it both cultivates and encourages performances and studies,
mainly of a musicological and interdisciplinary nature, thanks to its specialist library, guest accommodation facilities for scholars,
concerts, exhibitions, seminars, conferences, scholarships, courses, journals, books and records, and organizes activities in Venice and the Veneto,
in Italy and abroad.
